Tournaments (2025 Season)

Overview:

The Kansas Kayak Anglers puts on 6 regular season tournaments and a two-day championship.

One tournament may be fished as a non-member, that tournament will NOT count towards AOY even if you become a member later. In order to earn AOY points you will need to be a current member in good standing.

There will be no in-person captains meeting the morning of the tournament.  A post will be made in the days leading up to the tournament on the KKA - Facebook Page with basic information about the tournament.

Anglers have the option to launch from any legal launch point of their choosing and are responsible for knowing any ramp fees, park fees/permits and local rules that may apply. 

No portaging is allowed. Pre-fishing cutoff is 7:00pm the day before the tournament.

Tournament Fee Breakdown:

• Tournament Fee: $35.00

• Big Bass Fee: $10.00 (No longer optional, it is included in the tournament fee by default)

• Club Fee: $5.00 (Used to purchase awards, shelters, permits, AOY payout, championship dinner, etc.)

• TourneyX Fee: $6.50

• PayPal Transaction Fee: $3.50

• Total: $60.00

Team Tournaments:

Each regular season tournament will also have a team tournament ran in conjunction.

The teams consist of 2 people, each member of the team is allowed to submit up to 3 fish.

Entry fee is $20 per team ($10 per angler), signup is available on TourneyX for each event.

You do NOT get to choose your team member. Teams will be randomly drawn the night before the tournament and annouced on Facebook along with the tournament ID.

Payout Structure Based on Number of Participates:

• 2 to 10 Anglers - 1st : 75%, 2nd : 25%

• 11 to 20 Anglers - 1st : 50%, 2nd : 30%, 3rd : 20%

• 21 to 30 Anglers - 1st : 50%, 2nd : 25%, 3rd : 15%, 4th : 10%

• 31+ Anglers - 1st : 31%, 2nd : 24%, 3rd : 18%, 4th : 15%, 5th : 12%
